Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television series. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents left for the US which they received asylum. She was raised by her sisters who resided in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career in the field of TV through a handful of National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). To commemorate her performance, she received a nomination at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Actress. She was also an actress in numerous TV shows, such as How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. Recently, she was in the action-science fiction film Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was first seen in the General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. In the second season Night Shift, she was the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor. In 2009 Ghanizada appeared as Kelly a Prada sales girl in HBO's Entourage and was a part of the cast of the television pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, as well as the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
